Are there any contracts or commitments

No – it is all based on how many credits you purchase prior to sending messages. If you don’t have enough credit you need to purchase more. All purchased credit sits in your account until you are ready to use it.

What do I need to run an account

Texttosend is all web based so there is no software download required. All you need is an internet enabled device (PC, tablet, mobile) and a credit card

How much does it cost to send a message?

Costs change depending on how many credits you want to buy; one credit equals one text message to one United Kingdom phone, and the bigger the bundle you purchase, the lower the cost of each message. Our credit bundles can be found here.

Where do I get my data from?

You must collect data from legitimate opted in sources, such as through your short codes and website. We strongly advise against purchasing data and do not cannot supply any to you.

Can I send messages outside the United Kingdom?

Yes. Each message you send will use different amounts of credits depending on the country it is being sent to. See our International Prices for a full list of which countries you can send to and the networks available.

Can I charge people to text my short code?

No – Texttosend is to be used for SMS marketing services only, we do not offer Premium Rate services.

How can people opt-out of my SMS Marketing?

You need to include an opt-out mechanism within your message, such as a website customers can add their mobile to opt-out or provide a phone number

How secure is my data?

Your data is 100% safe and secure. We will not share or pass on any of your data, including the mobile numbers you upload and the data will only be used for your SMS marketing through your account only..

How many characters in a message?

One SMS credit will use up 160 characters and the system shows you when creating your message how many characters you have used and how many credits your text will use up.

How can I check if a message has been sent?

All sent messages can be viewed within your account.

How quickly can I use Texttosend?

You can be building SMS marketing campaigns within minutes of opening an account and purchasing credits.

Can I import data into my account?

You can import mobile numbers from an excel sheet or a CSV file or you can manually enter your data individually or by copy and pasting if you have smaller volumes.

How long do messages stay in my inbox for?

Messages will stay in your account permanently in date order.

What SenderID’s can I use?

You can use any Sender name of alpha-numeric combination between 6 and 11 characters long. Using your brand as a sender name is a great way to enhance brand awareness and improve responses to your campaigns. You can create numerous sender names and the sender name could also be a mobile number.

Can I schedule messages to be sent at a later date?

Yes you can select a time and date for your message to be sent. If you need to change the time and date the send is scheduled for you can do so through the Scheduled Messages section of your account.

My data isn’t uploading, help!

It could be you haven’t for the formatting correct. As texttosend recognises international mobile numbers, you need to ensure your data has the correct prefix at the beginning of each number you wish to upload e.g.
